Parks and Rec announcement
Exciting news for sports enthusiasts in Mt Juliet AND those of us who have been begging for years for our own public pool! City Commissioner Ray Justice has proposed building the recreation center on roughly 14 acres of city-owned land along Clemmons Road, a little more than a mile from North Mt. Juliet Road. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a variety of recreational activities for residents of all ages - which we’ve all been requesting for so long!. Read more here.
Sprouts in the works
Yes… we have lots of grocery options to pick from as it is… but this one is pretty unique and we’re excited about it! Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open a store in Mt. Juliet, adding to its more than 380 nationwide locations. Known for its emphasis on natural and organic foods, Sprouts plans to occupy over 23,000 square feet in the Everette Downs development on North Mt. Juliet Road. We’ll know more about the timeline after the Planning Commission has it’s May 16th meeting. Read more here.
Mt Juliet Farmer’s Market now open
Calling all foodies and supporters of local agriculture! The Mt Juliet Farmers Market is now open every Saturday morning from 7 AM - 1 PM at Charlie Daniels Park. Check out the wide selection of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and homemade treats while supporting our local farmers and vendors. It's the perfect way to start your Saturday!
How the buzz got started
The Buzz is a project that came together more out of selfish reasons than anything else. All three of us being young parents, we were constantly looking for things to do on the weekend with our kiddos (and without) and could not find one easy to read source that kept us in the know. Plus, we all love Mt Juliet and wanted to offer a weekly form of communication to help keep us all connected. Thus, the Buzz was formed. It is brand new, so all feedback is welcome.

Local Expert Health Tip
This week's health tip comes from Kristy Bobo, Trainer at re:MOVE Training, Owner of Wild Tribe Workouts and Buti Yoga Certified.
“In the health and fitness world, a mantra you hear often is “Go Big or Go Home.” I think the opposite is true when it comes to embracing a healthy lifestyle: Start small! Implement one minor change. Build momentum with it, then gradually expand upon that change or introduce a new healthy habit after a few weeks of consistency!”

MJ Real Estate Update
The Mt. Juliet real estate market continues to face challenges with limited inventory, currently hovering around a two-month supply. Despite higher rates, prices remain steady. Mortgage rates are at a two week LOW thankfully after Powell gave his speech this past Thursday. But we are still floating around the 7.25 range. People are pretty easily though getting a rate in the 6’s, it is just requiring buying down the rate some.
