Ava’s Splash Pad delayed opening

Ava’s Splash pad will be opening a little later than expected due to an unfortunate electrical issue. Don't worry, we’re told the necessary parts are on the way, and the team is working hard to get everything up and running as soon as possible. Stay tuned to the Mt. Juliet Parks & Recreation Facebook page for the latest updates and timeline!

New Event Space Opening This Summer!

Mt. Juliet will soon have a new event space located in a familiar place. The Bonus Room MJ will soon open behind Sweet CiCi’s here in Mt Juliet (same awesome owners) and will be available to rent for your next birthday, graduation, or private event. They are currently accepting bookings now and even have a giveaway going on on their socials.

Village Play Place Coming to Lebanon

Think coffee shop meets safe play area for your kids. As a mom of littles, this is a dream scenario, and also a really great way to meet new people in the area! They’ll have a secure area for babies up to 2 years old, and then another section for those 3-7, all while the caregiver can sip and supervise easily. Village Play Place is set to open in August at 703 S Cumberland St in Lebanon.

Burgers and Bingo - May 28th - Opens at 5, Bingo at 6

The week can get boring, so why not spice it up with a game night? Check out Bingo Night at Prost & Riot, located at 12192 Lebanon Rd in Mount Juliet, and enjoy half-priced burgers!

Food Truck Thursdays - May 30th 4 PM - 7:30 PM

Another chance to try local food trucks while enjoying a beautiful night out at Charlie Daniels Park! This week will have Rocketship Gourmet, Rolling Recipe, Roasted Coconut and Music City Squeeze lemonade.

Rock the Block - May 31st 6 PM - 8:30 PM

If you’ve never experienced Rock the Block in downtown Lebanon then be sure to check it out. They only offer it twice a year, so the next one won’t be until September. Enjoy live music, delicious food and drinks from our Downtown Lebanon merchants or from the food trucks joining us for the event.

Rescue Puppy Yoga- June 1st - 10 AM - 11 AM

🐝Volunteer Opportunity 🐝

We’ve had the privilege of meeting Rachel Timothy, co-founder of STOP, SIS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating on issues of trauma and trafficking as well as the power of the healing journey. One part of their organization is called Bringing Hope, and its mission is to create safe relationships with women, right here in Mt Juliet. 🐝Community Help🐝

Help spread the word that from May 28th through July 20th Mt Juliet Help Center offers a free Summer Food Program for local elementary - high school aged kids and their younger siblings. Some families are used to receiving free and reduced breakfasts and lunches along with weekly backpack programs that aren’t available during the summer months. Mt Juliet Help Center offers this program to help fill in those gaps. Other needs this week are RICE, BOXED PASTA, CRACKERS, CANNED BEEF STEW, CANNED POTATOES, BAR SOAP, TOOTHBRUSHES and TOOTHASTE and TAMPONS. Drop off your contributions at the Mt Juliet Help Center during the hours of 8:30 - 12:30 Monday - Friday. Thank you for your generosity!

During this period, inventory also saw a rise of around 11%. 🐝MJ Mortgage Update 🐝

Reverse mortgages are gaining in popularity again. A reverse mortgage allows anyone who is 62 and older to borrower against their equity in their home and have payments received monthly in return. You don’t have to pay back the loan until death, or when the house is sold.
