Wilson County Fair Time Is Here!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" No, it's not quite the holiday season yet, but it brings about the same amount of joy! The Wilson County Fair is officially here this week. Head on out to the Lebanon fairgrounds between August 15-24 and dive into all the fun and food the fair has to offer!

**Just a heads up - there is a clear bag policy this year, a metal detector to go through, and no outside food or drink permitted. Have fun :)

Mt Juliet Man Stuck In Space

Mt. Juliet native Butch Wilmore, part of The Boeing Starliner crew, may have to wait until 2025 to return from the International Space Station (ISS). The mission was initially supposed to last about eight days, but due to unexpected issues, there is still no official return date. Please keep Butch and the crew in your thoughts and prayers as they work to safely return home. Click here for more information.

🐝Volunteer Opportunity 🐝

Flower the People is an organization that rescues flowers that would otherwise end up in the dumpster and distributes them to nursing homes around Nashville and Chattanooga, including AHC here in Mt Juliet. They are looking for volunteers to help transport the flowers from the florist to their cooler once a week and making bouquets and distributing them on Saturdays from noon - 2PM. Can’t get your items to donate to the Mt Juliet Help Center during their office hours of Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 12:30? Food and toiletry donations can be dropped off or left in the Second Harvest barrels located near Customer Service at both Mt Juliet Kroger locations. Financial donations can be made via PayPal or Venmo (links on website) or mailed to us at PO Box 719, Mt. Juliet TN 37121.

Items needed this week include: Jelly, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Chili, Canned Peas, and Shampoo. Thank you for your generosity!

🐝MJ Real Estate Update🐝 

Mortgage rates have started the week relatively unchanged, which is a stark contrast to last Monday's significant drop to the lowest levels seen in over a year. In Mt. Juliet, the real estate market shows some mixed signals: new listings are up 13% year-over-year, but closings have decreased by around 10%. Interestingly, while the average purchase price has increased compared to July 2024, the average list price has seen a slight 1% decline. Although inventory has risen this year, we're still hovering at about 3.5 months of supply—far below the threshold for a balanced market.
