🐝Poll Results

Last weeks poll…What’s the #1 reason you leave Mt. Juliet to go somewhere else — and where do you usually go?

Results!

Better food options: First place

Entertainment/fun stuff: Second place

Kid’s activities: Third place

“We need a YMCA, community pool, even our library is lacking in activities for kids!”

“We need more shopping options like a real mall in Wilson Co.”

“We need more services for ethnic hair and skin care.”

“Just attractions, i.e., Opry, Jack Daniels, The Mint, etc…”

“Better food options, shopping AND entertainment. You can only go to Target and TJ Maxx so many times!”

“Adults could use a few fine dining options and classy bars such as Salentos or Darfons with evening-out places like comedy and music venues. The 615 playhouse is nice but so small; it would be nice to see that moved to a larger space.”

“We drive to Nashville and East Nashville to eat.”

“We go to Murfreesboro and Franklin/Brentwood for steaks, Lebanon for fish and seafood, Cookeville for Italian.”

“Frankly, we do not leave MJ that often. Almost everything we need is here and we shop local as often as possible.”

“Traffic is a nightmare, so would rather drive 15–20 min out of MTJ than fight traffic around Providence area.”

“Need more family dining with breakfast and meat n three.”

“Nashville is where we go to fine dine.”

“For special occasions (birthdays, date nights, anniversaries, etc) we always pick a restaurant downtown. MJ doesn't have anything upscale for special occasions.”

“Gyms with childcare (like a YMCA) or specialized gyms — MJ is sorely lacking in Pilates, yoga, barre, etc.”

“We go to the Lebanon Square for boutique shopping!”

“Anywhere to avoid the Providence traffic!”

“Need Doctors!!!”

“Murfreesboro has better food options and traffic is nowhere near as ridiculous.”

“Keke’s and Salvo’s are a win! Need a nice coffee place and non-chains.”

“An upscale foodie restaurant would thrive here!! We have the chains perfect for families but we need a nice place for parents' date night out :)”

“East Nashville is our go to for more personal experiences in eating out. The restaurants in MJ lack creativity. I would also say there aren't enough entertainment options in MJ. Most of what is here seems centered on younger children. Need more for teens and even older adults.”

“Hardware store.”

“We go to Lebanon for Jimmy Floyd pool or Murfreesboro for Boro Beach, Hermitage to bowl and trampoline, and all the way to Smyrna for a good movie theater. Also to Green Hills for Trader Joe’s.”

“Murfreesboro has such a variety of restaurants — Chop House, Bonefish Grill, etc. They also have Escape Rooms and other activities that are not available in Mt. Juliet yet.”

🐝MJ Weekly Poll

The Wilson County Fair is right around the corner—aka the one time of year we all drive across town for fried Oreos and prize-winning goats.

🐝MJ Real Estate Update

Are Prices Up in Mt. Juliet? It really depends on who you ask—and how they’re looking at the numbers. The short answer? No, the average sales price in Mt. Juliet is actually down compared to this time last year.

But here’s where it gets interesting: the median sales price is up by about 3%.

So what’s going on? This kind of shift usually happens when more lower-priced homes are hitting the market and selling, even though home values overall are still experiencing some upward pressure. It often signals a change in the types of properties being sold—smaller, more affordable homes making up a bigger slice of the pie.

The fact that the average price is dipping while the median price climbs tells us that affordable homes are still moving—and quickly. That’s likely due in part to our low inventory levels, which are only up about 2% from this time last year.

If you have any questions about the real estate market here in Mt Juliet or anywhere else in Middle TN, feel free to reach out. I'd love the opportunity to earn your business!
