If you know a family that could use a little extra help getting ready for the new school year, the 5th Annual Back-to-School Giveaway will be held Saturday, August 1, from 9 AM–12 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mt. Juliet. Teachers and students from across Wilson County are welcome to receive school supplies and personal items while supplies last.

If you’re planning one last splash before summer ends, Ava’s Splash Pad moves to weekend-only hours beginning August 3. Catch it Saturdays (11 AM–6 PM) and Sundays (1–5 PM) before it closes for the season on September 6.
