šMJ Real Estate Update
This week is shaping up to be one of the most eventful in recent history, with three major events that could have effects on the real estate market in the short term. Letās break them down:
1. U.S. Election - Tuesday, November 5th
The upcoming election is generating a lot of buzz, and opinions are varied on how it will affect the real estate market. Many people have mentioned they are āwaiting until after the electionā to buy, so it will be interesting to see if we experience an uptick in buyer activity in the aftermath.
2. Earnings Reports
Itās a busy week for earnings reports from major companies, including Berkshire Hathaway, Airbnb, and Sony. These announcements could lead to market movement, influencing real estate trends as well.
3. Fed Interest Rate Announcement - Thursday, November 7th
On Thursday, the Fed is set to announce its latest decision on interest rates, with a rate cut expected. Fed Chair Jerome Powell will also provide insights on the economy, which could have significant impacts on the market. Itās important to remember that a Fed rate cut doesnāt automatically translate to lower 30-year mortgage rates. After a recent rate cut, weāve seen rates gradually climb back up to around 7%.
If you have any questions about the real estate market here in Mt. Juliet or anywhere else in Middle TN, feel free to reach out. I'd love the opportunity to earn your business!
