šMJ Real Estate Update
So, we saw a Fed rate cut...now what? For most people, itās been more of a water cooler discussion than anything else. If you followed mortgage rates the week after, you might have noticed they actually ticked up a bit compared to the week before. Why? The Fed rate cut doesn't directly impact mortgage rates; it affects the benchmark interest rate. Mortgage rates often adjust in advance of these cuts and may trend lower afterward. While the rate cut is important, other factors like this Fridayās jobs report will also influence the market. Buyers are often driven by news and optimismāif they expect rates to stay low, competition could increase, potentially driving home prices up.
If you have any questions about the real estate market here in Mt. Juliet or anywhere else in Middle TN, feel free to reach out. I'd love the opportunity to earn your business!
